On August 6, 1827, the foundation stone was laid to the new church of Crown Prince Oscar who took a break in Väckelsång on his journey to Karlskrona. The neoclassicist church consists of rectangular long houses with a straightforward choir wall and an underlying sacristia. The main entrance is located in the ground floor of the tower. The entrance was sealed by Domprosten Isac Heurlin on June 11, 1832.
