Tornescher Kirche

Tornesch (Schleswig-Holstein) - Jürgen-Siemsen-Straße 28 - Church - Year of construction: 1959/60 - Photo 2008 - The church of Tornesch is an Evangelical Lutheran church in Tornesch. It was built in 1959-1960 to a design by architect Günther Frank. The construction consists essentially of a rectangular nave with pitched roof, which has an incision in the altar area on both sides. Concrete windows and other brightly painted concrete elements loosen up the brick walls. The side windows are arranged by oblique cuts of the side wall so that their light falls to the altar. At the southwestern corner rises a more than 30 m high tower with a square floor plan.
