California Creek Missionary Baptist Church

This is the former California Creek Missionary Baptist Church, located in the rural hamlet of California Creek in Madison County, North Carolina. Constructed in 1917, the church was moved to this located on US Highway 23A in 1937, and is listed as a Gothic Revival-style, though it more closely appears to resemble the Romanesque Revival style. The church was sold to private ownership after a new church was built nearby in the 1970s, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
