Baku Museum of Miniature Books

We now come to a rather unusual exhibition- the Baku Museum of Miniature Books. This is the only museum of miniature books in the world and is located in Baku's Icheri Sheher or old town quarter. The museum started its operation on April 2, 2002. Exhibits in the museum have been collected by a local Azeri lady called Zarifa Salahova over a period of over 30 years. The collection in this museum consists of more than 6500 books from 64 different countries. The museum was opened for public viewing with the hope of promoting childhood literacy.
